Pre-Construction Site Assessment Reports
These reports protect the licensee from problems that existed prior to construction-and Alberta Environment requests that landowners receive a copy. These reports provides pre-disturbance soil conditions, including topsoil depths, admixing, structure, erosion potential, and salinity, thus guiding proper lifting of topsoil during site construction.

- recommendations for proper construction and reclamation.
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment uses historical data (well file, EUB/AEP review, air photo), interviews, and a site visit to determine the likelihood that contamination may be present. This assessment is mandated by AEP and must be done prior to beginning any reclamation.
Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
- Assess Current spill sites or sites damaged in the past.
- Develop remediation plan from current information.
- Select the lowest cost method applicable in the situation.
Phase III Environmental Site Assessment
- implement the remediation plan.
